No baseball today. We just stayed around the RV and worked on things. I started our go-home planning and have it pretty much laid out. We are leaving here on Thursday, March 26, three days after the last spring training game. We are heading East over to Patrick Spaceport Base for two nights. We will be visiting The Kennedy Space Center, leaving on Saturday March 28th to our next stop at Tallahassee, FL. From there it is on to Pensacola, FL and Breau Bridge, LA (near Lafayette).
Morning Ducks
After coordinating with our son Brian, we will not be heading North to Lincoln, NE for a short visit. Instead, we will continue West on I-10 to home and get together with Brian for a longer visit later in Nevada City.
Rainy weather moved in today. It is the same frontal system that has wreaked havoc across the country and disrupted air travel. Heavy rain started around 3:00 pm and passed though later this evening. No rain tomorrow but a significant drop in temperature with cold Northern winds is expected.
Clearing Skies, Colder
Baseball tomorrow, St. Patrick's Day, is perhaps the most well-attended game of Spring Training. We will see with cold temperatures and a North wind, especially where we sit in the upper level.
For dinner, we had an almost traditional St. Patrick's Day Dinner. Kevin cooked a corned beef brisket in the crock pot with potatoes and onions. We also had dinner bread and skipped the cabbage. I had coleslaw instead.
After dinner we watched the semi-final WBC baseball game, Venezuela v. Italy.
