Hanging with my sister and her crew at the ballpark today. The Phillies played the Baltimore Orioles today and won 11-8. It was also another sellout with a fair number of Oriole fans attending. Their Spring training home field is in Sarasota, not a long drive away.
My sister, family and friends did not have tickets for the upper section of the park where we sit, but they let them there to join us. We spent most of the game standing up in the section common area and socializing.
The Philles owner John Middleton, some members of the ownership group, and senior team executives were in two of the adjoining suites near our seats. Also there was Chase Utley a former Phillies star, who is being inducted into the Phillies Wall of Fame in August at the Phillies stadium in Philadelphia, Citizens Bank Park. I had the opportunity to say hello to Mr. Middelton and thank him for his support of the team. He stopped to talk for a minute and shook hands with me and one of my sister's daughters
After the game, we decided to meet at a restaurant in Safety Harbour, Water Oak, at 6:30 pm. Safety Harbour is a neat little town, and it was very busy for a Friday Night in tourist season. After a little bit of a wait, we had another great family and friends' dinner. They are all leaving tomorrow after an excellent visit and good times.
