I got up early this morning to take the truck into the shop to get the AC fixed. The AC repair place is about 5 miles down the street. Dealing with early rush hour traffic and dodging a 3-car accident, I arrived at the shop about 7:30 am. The loaner car that they said would be available to drive back to the RV Park turned out to not be available. Consequently, the manager lent me his personal car to drive back to the park to wait for the truck AC to be repaired. Nice customer service.
After returning to the RV park, Kevin and I had previously decided to make GI SOS (biscuits and gravy), an old military favorite across generations. Kevin found a great recipe on the Internet, and we prepared it outside in the electric skillet.
The concoction includes hamburger meat cooked, flour/ mixed with salt and pepper and milk added. When ready, scrambled eggs are cooked in the skillet, cheese is added and the SOS is poured over biscuits. It actually went very well and was comparable to numerous military meals from past experiences in military chow halls.
