Kevin didn't have any issues today on a pretty good travel day to Amarillo. The wind of course is never idle in that part of the country and is always a challenge in an RV while towing. Anyway, he is at a KOA for the night and will travel to Denton, TX tomorrow.
He is about a day or so ahead of a major snowstorm forecast for that part of the country. He will take no chances if the storm catches up with him and park the RV until it is safe to travel. There is plenty of time for him to get to Tampa and travel delays were built into trip planning. After Denton it is Alexandra, LA then Biloxi, MS where he is planning to lay over for a few days. The forecast for Biloxi is no snow but cold temperatures for that area. Summer has not yet arrived in the Southland. I remember one year at Mardi Gras we froze our butts off.
I am getting everything ready for my departure on the California Zephyr Amtrack train to Chicago then New York City on Saturday, 1/24. Still a lot to do getting ready but pretty much on schedule.
